Losing MLWs (White Giant)

No matter what I do, I lose Medium Level Workers at a frightening rate every month, and I'm having to constantly convert trained professionals.

Is it something I'm doing? Is there any way I can stop the bleed?

Nope. I actually sold some weapons recently, and I haven't built a corp in ages.

Your education system is running too hot. Turn priorities down a few notches. 117-119. This will give you more workers.

Ahh, that makes sense, Sam. I have about 130 education index and I'm running priorities at a full 120. I never even considered turning it down.

Unfortunately corporation efficiency upgrades now cause an over demand of MLW now. It used to be HLW but W3C's implementation to "balance" worker levels just seamed to supply more HLW.

I have more MLW employed then LLW now. Lowering education priorities won't help really, because you will still have not enough MLW, plus back to work schools and special clinics basically produce more workforce without the need to decrease education priorities. Its a good idea to set low level managers priority to a higher level, then convert them to MLW its really the only way of dealing with routine worker imbalances.

ps If only there were a way to set priorities of workers, I wonder if anyone has suggested it *hint*.

Thats not very helpful John...we are not all seasoned players here, if fact being the help forum bit suggests the majority of question askers are needing to learn, of course with a liberal smattering of learned veterans willing to spend their time to enlighten us, thank you one and all. So why does the game not allow priorities for workers, a MLM or HLW implies education above LLW, or are we to presume that some people just have more natural talent (or better placed parents)?

I learnt this game on my own, by trial and mistake. I didn't go around asking for help. If *I* had something to gain from it, then *I* should do all the work.

pfft John you fool. The suggestion I'm referring to was passed by exclusive vote over a year ago and the GM said they were going to implement the suggestion. Besides ever think that you learn quicker by asking someone that possesses the knowledge instead of spending much more time find out the exact same information.

To explain my position a little, I've played this game on and off for about six years now. In that time, I've learned how constantly SimCountry is changing, and that something I learned last time I played may well be totally be invalid today. I have a very busy life, and I don't really have the time to sift through endless posts and bulletins, and if a change has been made or a bug exists, often the best way to find out is to ask.

I don't approve of asking things without making some effort on my own. I made a few attempts to fix the problem myself, but was unable to plug the leak. At that point, rather than frustrate myself further, I asked - not demanded - if anyone could help me out.

One learns increasingly faster and far better when learning on his own. All he needs is the basic tools to begin with. Instead of focusing on the quality of these tools, you all think its much more fitting to slap him with the (incomplete) answer.
