Why the hell...... (Little Upsilon)

Can someone please explain to me why I have still got over 1.1m poeple in my mains army, even though i have deactivated everything i can - and have hardly any weapons there. I have checked everything and now its really bugging me. Please help!!!

Someone has to maintain the bases and weapons when deactivated.

Thanks sam - but 1.1 million of them? Lazy gits. I'm just going to destroy the weapons instead then!!!

I have around 600k army size and all I have is forts and bases. Anyone know a safe way you can get rid of bases and forts?

You can destroy the forts in defensive options, but the bases? I have no idea, but would love to know.....

Have a friend attack you and destroy your bases, lol. You have to keep one though, the game doesn't let the last one get completely destroyed.

Nah....i'd have to come out of secured and my country is now almost totally defenceless!!! Right....where are insurgents when you need them!!!

You can destroy your bases also. You must have at least 1 Military and 1 Air force I believe.. It wont let me get lower than that.

You can destroy the bases. It is the destroy weapons option.

lol damm it wont let me destroy strategic arms. When I click "destroy weapons" under strategic, the game thinks I clicked offensive.

Total newb, so be gentle. I obviously don't know how the unemployment rate is computed...
What am I missing that makes the following statistics consistent? Shouldn't the percentage unemployed be?:

(Number of unemployed) divided by ((Number of unemployed) plus (Number of employed))

I compute that to be about 4.5% unemployment, not 14.95%.

Population 8,604,517
Employment Index 85.05
Percentage Unemployed 14.95
Number of Employed 3,641,394
Number of Unemployed 171,492
