Is this game completly free? or wil I HAVE to get a subscription when all my coins run out? PLease help me before I play the game any further!

It is not free you will have to pay to keep your membership and you need 30 coins per month to register your empire. You can make your empire successful enough that it pays for its self though.

Thanks, since I don't have the money to continue playing, I'm hoping someone will either destroy my empire or If anyone wants it they can ask for it and I'll give it to them!

Just think about it Sissco. Because we have to pay to play, the game weeds out most of the... um, idiots. Well most of them. Security was never able to hold me... and Stuart too. ;)

But I cant understand why people complain about paying $3 a month. Thats about 75c a week - just over 10c a day. If your in the UK, that equates to about £2 a month, 40p a week and 6p a day. I know some people dont have much money, but surely if you have access to the interweb, you can find that small pittance from somewhere.

Look down the back of the sofa - i bet you will find enough to keep playing for a few months there!

Anyway - I agree with LG - the paying to play bit does weed out the idiots from the people who are willing to put time and effort into the game. I see so many countries around me come and go - hell there was even one country that had 3 different presidents within the space of a week - at least 2 of them had the courtesy to quit instead of just letting it run. Now, I don't know about you, but when I see a new president in my area, I will always message them and offer help and advice

I think the free time should be longer, I paid before it ended but it just doesn't seem long enough to me.

I think there should be some kind of free state in this game... I like the latest poll on the free idea. Yes I have paid my 3 months... But when that day comes to pay again I won't... I feel that I have paid for my countries and shouldn't have to continue to pay for them. I get my 100 gold coins in time, I should be able to use them to pay for my 3 months...

I see it would be ok to have to pay for a new country, but for one you took over or already paid for... No I don't think so... Maybe you like paying for something you already paid for but not me... Its like paying rent on a house you already own... Annual property taxes eh...

On your account's main Portal, on the left menu, click "Gold Coins" and then click "Extend membership and receive GC".

So the people who are paying vertual rent are the smart ones? The learning curve alone takes care of most noobs for a slow paced game. I'm glad Simcountry is still running though, someone has to pay for the server. I think extending the free time might help draw more pay to play.

yes as long as you have a full time job you can play. So we can't use the level awards to pay for it? a sup aka HLW plays WOW. I pretty sure this is cheaper than WOW

I really would like to see the free membership extended for possibly another week or two. As some of the previous people posted, it really would help increase the retention rates of some of the players. I for one had played for roughly a month in free membership before I discovered this was a play-to-pay game. However, I know I would not have payed for it in the initial week or two because I had not done enough to it. Once I checked back and saw changes, I took it more seriously and devoted more time to making my country work. Now, I have another country about a year later and I realize that the experience of my first free country helps me appreciate my membership. I think it is benificial to increase or extend free membership.

A month is more than enough time to see if you would enjoy a game. The fact that you played the entire free month shows that indeed you would like to play the game. More time really wouldn't likely be the difference of you signing up for membership. More free time would only allow for more players who have no desire to pay for membership, to sit in chat and spam it with vulgar comments, sexual in nature at times, with no worry of any consequence because they wouldn't pay to play anyway. Not saying it is you at all, I thought the game was awesome, so when my membership was nearing an end, I payed 36 bucks. Been here for two years now.

And from a practical standpoint, there are many advantages to gain when a full member.

Membership is usually a pre requisite to join most federations.
You can now set your own trade strategies and take advantage of their benefits.
You can access and invest in the cash market selling countries cash or gold coins. The list goes on, but these being the first that came to mind.

From what i see the cheapest option is $12 for 3 months to extend the membership. I dont see nothing about $3 or $4 for 1 month. So if there is a $3 or $4 then where is it? i got paypal only to pay for this.

It's $4 per month but you have to purchase at least 3 months at a time. So, cheapest option is $12 for 3 months.

You can play for free for two weeks. Then to continue to play for free, you have to pay 6 gold coins per day, per empire and per CEO.

It can be done. You would have to hustle a lot for gold coins but would develop great skills that way. There are a few restrictions but they're not important.

If you pay a $12 membership just once, then it becomes much easier to stockpile gold coins for when you play for free afterwards.
