Destroying military bases (in your own country) (Fearless Blue)

I have a question about destroying military bases. I think I built too many of them and could cut a few but I have this question - do the weapons of the garrison get destroyed as well or do they go back to the weapons pool? I dont want to destroy the weapons for nothing. Thanks.
