Is there any way to tell a corp to simply never stock more than a certain number of months supply?

Maximum stock is 60 months, and there is no way to change it as far as I know.

You can get more than 60 months. Place an order on the corporation page so that you will be at 60 months when the order is completed. Then go to "trading with local corps" and then it the "max" button.

You can also set up trade contracts from corporations that make the resource. If you setup contracts for more resources than the corporation will consume you end up building a stockpile much larger than 6 months. The same effect occurs if your production drops, the contracted resources keep coming.

You can get more then 60 months, but it requires contract exploits. Accept a contract, lower production so then you have over supply, it slowly grows.

You can have more than 60 months supply via contracts. Not necessary or advised though. The thing to remember is if you are oversupplying the corp, you are wasting it's profits on purchasing unneeded supplies. Keep that cash and watch the market value grow quicker. Pull up the corp in question and click on contracts and cancel unneeded contracts.

Can you limit the corp to buying only 5 months of stock?

Yes, using the "Trade/Local Corporations". Then select whichever products you are trying to drain off and click "Buy". Your country will purchase those supplies from that corp.

Also, you can set up contracts for exactly the amount you require each month from your other corps.
Cancel the existing contracts you have and make another manual contract.

Thank you for that, the country budget is a lot larger. I guess its really a problem when I have to buy things from the market. A problem you vets likely have not had for a while
