One of my corporations shows a loan amount in Financial Data of $20 million. But in the section where one can view loans, the loan amount is shown as $20 *billion*. Assuming this is a bug, how can I get it fixed?

Some background: I did not start the corporation, it came with my country; I am 100% owner; I myself did not take out the loan; I would like to pay off the loan because the interest rate is a whopping 30%, but I don't have the $20B plus penalties; the loan is held by another country.

First off, the interest rate is for a REAL year. The APR in game time would be a tiny fraction of 1%. Why W3C switched from calculating interest in game time to calculating interest in real time, I have no idea, as every other measure for corporate performance is figured in game months or years.

Corporations take out loans automatically when they run low on cash. To avoid problems in the future, go to corporations-->manage corporations-->profit/cash/debt. Type in 75000 in "Raise Cash levels in all corps" (it asks for amount in billions, so you're inputting 75B), and click the shiny button to do the transfer. This transfers money directly from your country or CEO to all of your corporations that are short on cash.

Do this periodically to avoid taking loans. Loans for countries are no big deal, but they can hinder corps due to "support functions" that will start reducing salaries if the loan is not repaid. Pay the loan off, unless Treasurer shows up and threatens to call collections agencies.

The 20 million/20 billion issue is not a bug. Most likely you just lopped off zeroes...it happens easily in this game.

Wow, just when I begin to believe I've got SC down, I learn otherwise. Heheh.

I raised corporate cash levels, as advised, and will monitor. And you're right: what I thought was 20 million was 20,000 million. Embarrassing, but lesson learned.

Many thanks.

Don't worry...it happens to me sometimes too, when I bid about 14 trillion in game cash for gold coins :)

You are allowed to pay off all loans early if you choose, EXCEPT ANY FROM ME.

And Keith is correct....

I WILL CALL GUIDO TO BREAK YOUR LEGS.

You can also use T (trillion), B (billion), M (million). This gets around typing so many zeros, so
1T=1,000,000,000,000. This helps save on errors.
