I'm curious about how exactly these work; the documentation is ambiguous.

For example, it says that a special clinic can treat 1,000 disabled workers and 200 return to work. Okay, I have 135 special clinics. Does that reduce my # of disabled workers by 135,000 one time? Or is it a constant thing, ie: if I get rid of my clinics I'll have 135,000 more disabled people?

Also, it says that of the 1,000 people, 200 return to work. Where do the other 800 go? And, in general, is it worth it to use special clinics/back to work schools? Particularly the special clinics... my healthcare expenses are getting really high... I'd like to be sure I'm getting something for all this cost =)
Thanks for any help.

"Can treat" means are being treated... So, if you have 100 clinics, 100000 people are being threated. Of those, 20% return to work, so 20000, and the other 80000 are still in the pool to be treated next month.

Getting rid of the clinics will not immediatly make the disable workers come back. They will get injured at normal rates, so once you have removed most disables workers (or maxed out to the limit set by enterprises), you can greatly reduce the number you need.

I find back to work schools to be very effective. I am still not sold on the effectiveness of the clicics, but that is still a begginers opinion.

From my experience, it seems that neither works the way they are supposed to.

The back to work schools seem to be returning at about 1/5th the rate they are supposed to. My number of housewives drops about 1/5th of what they should (129 now, and I increase them 5 per month).

For the disabled, its even worse. Their numbers continue to increase even with an absurd amount of special clinics (300 now, and I increase them 10 per month).

This is from the special clinics page in my main:

Special Clinics
Number of Employees in CEO Controlled Corporations 23,429,174
Number of Disabled that can be Rehabilitated (max) 9,371,670
Number of Rehabilitated Workers 1,042,908

Number of Disabled Workers 2,114,799
Number of Disabled Workers treated in Special Clinics 14,000

Number of Hospitals 1,310
Number of Special Clinics 7

-------------

OK, so obviously the number of disabled workers is FAR smaller than the maximum percentage of employees in CEO corps that can be rehabilitated. Also, the number of rehabilitated seems to be capped at around half the number of total disabled workers. It sucks, but my lowly 7 special clinics are enough to recycle a million injured back into productive citizens.

Perhaps special clinics do not work as well as they should, but they DO work over time. Patience is required. I don't think I've altered the number of special clinics in my main for nearly a game century now.
