How do I set up the irc chat? Do I need to register for it or something?

Wow! Thats a pain in the ass to set up! Why the fuk cant things be simpler with this game? Gotta say this game frustrates the hell out of me. Joint time.

mIRC is a product of a mIRC Co. Ltd., not of Simcountry. Blame them not us.

The official chat is so simple intuition covers it. Just click Live Chat on your Portal Account and... it's done.

Except IRC is mostly dead at the moment, and it's all LG's fault. He was like the one that held the family together, but now he cant be bothered to visit us anymore, its gone quiet!

The official chat is the first thing I tried. Cant get that to work either. Im getting to the world cafe part and also got the fed rooms but how the hell do I start the chat?

As soon as I finish reading and replying to the 140 messages in the General, Kebir Blue, Fearless Blue, White Giant, and Golden Rainbow fora I will go there right away... :p

Care to elaborate on your problem, General? Do you see anyone on the right panel of the chatrooms/conference rooms?

No I cant see anyone on the right side. It says LU cafe GR cafe etc down the left side. Ive got my rooms above on the left aswell. Nothing on the right. So I try higlight the LU cafe link then click the join grop chat link from the bottom left corner but get nothing. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Or no is on the chatrooms when you went there or it is a compatibility problem with the client and your browser.

Which browser do you use?

In the meantime, log in to the chatrooms and different times of the day and see if you someone logs in. It could just be you are missing them in time.

Im on win XP if thats what you mean by browser.

Ive been invited to chat by fed mates who were on so its not that nobodys there.

By browser, he means are you running Internet Explorer, Firefox, Lotus ete etc

It didnt allow me to download either, I run Vista and Internet Explorer, but I can connect this way.

I tink this one should be sticky. Not easy for new players to find info on where to find simcountry IRC.

I don't know if they have sticky's here.... Maybe just post the address as a link on the forum or in the game.

Bull, the WIKI list of low tax countries is a sticky. Same thing could be done on the Help thread for instance.

There's nothing of true value to "stick" on the Help section.

Maybe, the C3 conquer "guide". But incomplete works don't satisfy me. And not all can be linked. Hence, there's only a link to the wiki on top. I suggest you use it.
