If you want to see an enterprise horror show, go look at Hifeng Holdings. More than half of my corps are not ordering supplies. A lot of corps are now at 0% production.

I double-checked that ordering supplies is on "automatic."

Any idea how to get the game to order supplies like it's supposed to?

Many thanks.

The issue here is not market shortage, as far as I can tell. The issue is that the required orders for supplies are not even placed by the game, which means that in his case, the automatic order function is not functioning properly.

No orders, no supplies.

I've noticed a somewhat lesser version of this problem myself, with new corps and FMUs. As corps start out using only 2 FMUs a month and then upgrade, the FMU use rises so quickly that often the auto-order orders inadequate quantities in the first year or so of a new corp, like ordering 10 FMUs thinking it's 5 months supply, but by the time they're delivered, the corp uses 10 FMUs a month.

Thanks, Alexander and Keith. I did spend some time placing immediate orders, and with good effect, but the system is placing NO orders for supplies and I'm not willing to put in the time to manually order all supplies for 200 corps. (The game is good, but it's not that good ;-)

Hopefully, as Keith suggests, the automatic system will *eventually* kick in. I'll post an update when something changes.

It's funny: with overall production down to 37% (and falling) it hasn't affected my enterprise score.

also Scott, I would recommend bumping up your purchase price strategy by 5 points bud. I can't see what your corps have actually ordered and what orders are unfufilled but I would guess the strategy is your problem.

Hey, All -

The problem is nearly resolved. From a Productivity Index low of 37 it's been slowly climbing over the past several days as the system began to place *some* orders. Right now I'm back up to a PI of 83% and the system has finally placed orders for ALL needed supplies.

So I think Keith nailed it. The system just responds ver-ry slowly to changes, in my case correcting a glaring error I made (and should have noticed but didn't) in the price offered for supplies.

Thanks, Alexander, Keith and Crafty for your responses.
