Country Contracts (Fearless Blue)

Is there a way to contract my country to buy its full monthly need of a product from one of my corps, and have my corp sell the excess on the market?

Ive been looking around and all I can do is either contract everything to my country, or type in a specific amount. But why can't I just do 100% monthly usage?

Have you tried looking at your monthly usage and then entering that number into the box that asks for a specific amount? If your country uses more then that corp produces you may need to build multiple corps

1. Yes, as long as one corp will fill your need. If not, build more corps to fill your need, then contract from them as well. You may wish to nationalize that particular corp if you do not have "CEO's Blocked"

1a. Yes anything not sold via contract will be sold on the open market using your trade strategies.

FYI: You can also sell on the LOCAL market which is your own private "common market" consisting of your own corporations. You can find that option on the common markets tab and select "LOCAL ONLY" to do this.

The corp produces much more than my country needs, therefore I need the corp to sell to my country what it needs each month and then sell the excess on the open market. If i contract full production to my country then I will have way more of the product than I need. Thus I guess I will just have to type in my monthly usage and hope it doesn't change too much.

That number changes depending on the size of your population.

So how do i get the amount contracted to change with that number, to always be 100% of what my country needs?

I do not. How so? Wouldn't they be buying it for market price guaranteed? If anything my corp would lose a little profitability. Please explain.

When selling as a contract, the price is always at current market price trailing whatever quality you produce at. You get the quality bonus, but that's it. Your corp doesn't make as much profit, but it gets steady sales and grows more steadily. But those contracts can drain your country of cash if you have too many of them.

It increases the costs of your country substantially, because its buying higher quality (which does nothing for it).

Well if you have to choose between the country going without the product at all OR buying the product at a higher quality (and higher cost) I would choose the latter. Even if it is only temporary.

You can contract products to yourself. The best way is to have your state corps contract (100 quality products) to your country. That means shutting off the quality upgrades automation. Only build enough of these 100 quality corps to provide for your country.

And this is only if your a penny pinching bastard anyway. I don't even bother because I'm rich. It's a pain in the rear end is what I'm saying to go through all this just to save a few SC dollars on product costs. But if you have nothing better to do with your hours here, I say "Go for it".

there is something that im trying to understand, you guys means that the best way to deal with,is making corps contract all the production products the country and then sell the supplies that the corps needs by

Common and Local Market is the best way to get products your country needs.

Join a decent sized common market. Onve you are a member of that common market, click on the tab titled "TRADE".

Then select "CONTRACTS", then "COMMON MARKET CONTRACTS FOR YOUR COUNTRY".

Scroll down to the bottom and select "ACCEPT LOCAL AND COMMON MARKET CONTRACT OFFERS". Click "Confirm"

This will give you contracts that are available for products your country needs. This does not guarantee that all product needs will be met however, but should assist in dealing with alot of them.

The remaining needs can be filled by contracting production from your own corps or transferring goods from your other countries on the same world.
