There have been a bunch of quite unpopular changes over the past month. Read many of the threads in the general forum a nd you will see there are many angry players.

I fear if some of these issues aren't addressed, many players may leave the game.

No, I see several countries that had ~20T assets and now they still have ~20T assets.

Recent changes to the economy lowered profitability. If King Yahuchtka means "early January" when he says "suddenly" then that might be the cause.

It is more likely that he set up garrisons or trade strategies and the country spent 25T on the stockpile.

Could also be an error.

I know King Y personally, and he has been away for much of January and February. I can guarantee he has not added garrisons to his main, and that his trade strategies remain the same as before. I believe there are some countries, such as King Y's and Keith Allaire's empire, that require explanation from the gamemaster as to why their stockpile of money has disappeared.

(operator)Hello 911. State the nature of yout emergency.

(Nute) Yes maam we need to report a case of pretend grand theft.

(operator) What do you mean pretend grand theft?

(Nute) Well it seems that the game of simcountry is stealing huge amounts of our pretend money. Can you please send out a pretend police officer?

(operator) Yes this very serious. I will send out Sgt. Stedinko right out to make a investagation.

(edit: oops, I didn't notice that he was talking about his secured main country so this is probably invalid in this case. It may explain some peoples' missing cash though.)

It still might be the country automatically buying ammo to add to garrisons. That was my problem when my money was flying out the window a few days ago. I emptied my garrisons and found mounds of 250+ quality ammo (despite the fact that I set my country to order quality 100 supplies). In my case I set up the garrisons (with insufficient ammo) a long time(over one RL month) before the game started buying extra ammo for them.
