Hi people. Been playing for a few days now and really enjoying it. I was confused at first but I think I'm just starting to get to grips with it. However there are a few things that I just can't get my head around so I really hope some of you may be willing to help!?

**MILITARY...

Is there a screen in the game that will just show me a breakdown of exactly how many units and ammo I have? It seems to me that when you create a unit ot garrison etc the quantity that it requires automatically deducts itself from the untits and ammo that are showing available.

This is fine if you ant to know how many units & ammo you have there ready to be deployed but I want to see my OVERALL units & ammo. I dont want to have to click into every single unit and garrison in my country and then calculate how many of each weapon I have in total.

Also should I be deploying every single weapon that I buy or should I make sure I keep some IN STOCK for my supply units to use and in case I quickly need to make new battalions etc?

How many forces such as defence divisions, battalions etc should I have STATIONED in my country? Right now I have 4 in total and I have spread them out and stationed them at random points on the map. Should I be stationing them anywhere in particular and how many is a good number of these defences to have patroling my country at any one time?

I have many more questions re: the military side of things so If you can think of any random things that will help me get to grips with this system then feel free to tell me :).

**CORPORATIONS...

COMPLETELY baffled with this guys & gals so ANYTHING you can think of will help me here.

How should I be running my corporations and how many is a good number to have? Does it matter what sort I have or is it good to just build ones that produce things that are in short supply? Should I focus on corporations that build things that are linked with each other i.e focus on corporations that produce defensive military units or is it best have a mix of different things being produced?

Should I trade on the open market or should i setup contracts with my country?

Do I need to micromanage my coporations or will the AI do things such as buying supplies, hiring workers and selling produce automatically for me?

This of the game seems really important for a good economy so I really need help and really appreciate nay help that is offered.

**EMPLOYMENT...

I think Im not doing too bad with this but Im still not 100% confident with it.

Is unemployment a direct result of not having enough corporations? And will contructing a new corporation automatically give jobs to the unemployed people in my country. e.g if i have 400,000 unemployed low level workers and I construct a corp that uses 70,000 of these workers, will that automatically bring my unemployment level in this category down to 330,000?

Is there a benefit to HAVING unemployed workers in your country? And are there any unemployed people in your country that are UNWILLING to work just like in real society today?

I have many more questions but I'm really trying not to bore you all to death. If you feel like throwing any other tips in the mix that you think I could use I would appreciate it.

I think one of the reasons this game is difficult for me to get to grips with is because it's real time, I can't see a direct result of the decisions I make until after a few game months. So for new players like me it's hard to see if the decisions that you're making are the correct ones. I've put my indexes below and if you could take a look and see if im doing ok for someone whos had 5 days play that would be great!

Population Size 7,731,990

Good Questions:
a quick crash coarse

Military:

To see a break down of how many defensive weapons and how many offensive weapons you have you need to navigate to the ' War ' tab, then scroll down to the ' Defensive Forces ' section and select ' Inspect Troops '. You can also do this for Offensive and Strategic Forces.

There are two huge parts to this game that go hand in hand. Economy and Military. You need a large economy to sustain a large military.

Economy:

There are several things you need to kick start your economy:

-Slowly build your education index to around 200
-Balance your Education Priorities to equal 120.
-Register and receive Gold Coins and use those to buy some population.
-Set corporation tax to 0%
-Invite CEO's to build private corporations in your country (private corporations are much more profitable than State or National Corporations)

I'm on Fearless Blue and i know there is a lot to go over when you are a new player and even knowing how to accomplish some things can be difficult at first so message me at my country ' Adamsfield ' and I'll try to help walk you through growing.

Once you get the hang of the daily 'this and that' the game is really fun.

A few other references:

The Documentation is a good place to start for weapons and war advice.

One of the sites that helped me out the most when i started was created by a player, http://www.freewebs.com/churchofsimcountry/

Also there is a wiki
http://simcountry.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Again fell free to msg me about anything you need.

Thanks man that was very helpful. I have actually figured a lot out myself in the 24 hours since I made the post.

I think this is that type of game. You want to know exactly how things work instantly, which is impossible. And then thingswhich you think you will never understand suddenly make sence!

I will definately message you,

cheers

U set the corp tax to 0% to make ceo's want to build corp's in your country. The country resources that the corps buy more than make up for the lost tax and Ceo controlled corps are usually more profitable than state controlled corps. As to the education index, go to your "important things to do" tab and build schools, and universities intil your index reaches 200 or so.

oh and use some of the coins u got when u started and buy some population transfers to your country so that you will have the workers u need. Since your new, your country gets a income bounus that adds more money to your counry. The amount u get will decrese over time so youll want lots of corps in your country by the time this hgappens to take up the slack. Keep in mind active units cost more than ones in your stock, if your not planing to go to war with someone u might want to deactivate some of your offensive forces to save some money.

yeah u gota pay for the month like 4 bucks a month. i got the 12$ for 3 months, it gives u 120 gold coins. When your month is up a message will ask you for 30coins to play for another month so the 120 is good for 3. But u can use the coins to build up your country. Boosters and such, population, and u can trade coins for game money for your country. But not until u hook them up.
But if u can make 30coins in a month either buy selling your money made or populations transfers from countrys u take over, u can pay for the game and play basicly free. And yes you have to accept the offers , i think under the trade tab "pending deliveries".
