What can people tell me about leveling up my CEO?
Is it separate to my country level, or the same thing and what effect does it have on my businesses.

Same thing, completely dependent on country level and from what I've seen, impact is 0, except maybe a boost to rank score.

The Level of your country and CEO is a score multiplier. It is very useful in getting awards.

Since the top award moves both your country and CEO to the bottom of the list, you can take a C3 (or two) to tank your averages so that you can get both to the top on YOUR timing.

So the message in my 'Fine tuning companies' thread is incorrect? My struggling corps won't go any better for me being a higher level?

To my knowledge, it'll have zero impact, I've ranged through levels 1 to 4 already and dropped back to 1 because it ultimately is a waste of money and staff for a secured country to maintain a defensive military.

I'd also disagree extensively with a significant portion of the fine tuning thread, but that's me.
