I've played this game before, screwed up, then made a new country (The United Kingdom of Parlama). My downfall was my excessive spending on education, transit, and health which drained me of money. This time I succeeded in not completely being short on a decent workforce(though current one is dramatically failing to bring new corporations up to money making status). I have been knowingly buying quality and effective upgrade thingies since the very start so most them are 130 and above.I'm peaceful currently with 94% active army. I have been exceptionally increased rank so i guess im doing something right. Now i "think" i got the hang of things but feedback would be much appreciated.

Patients helps.
Being peaceful with an active army sounds expensive. Keep education, transit and health up for your welfare. Social securuity should also be up. If your total corprate value is losing money, your doing something wrong. There are many guides about the forum to help out. If your a free account, your limited to lvl 3, either way you can declare your country as peaceful and do away with the military. If ya just want the defensive points just for leveling then go with missile interceptor batteries. If you get into a worker bind, you can alway order 1mil pop for 5 gold coins just don't fall back into the same shortage after. When you order military equipment and government buildings check the 'change profession of some workers'/'Reserved for new Facilities' This line shows the projected force need for what you have on order.

Yes dismantle the army and sell all weapons, keep the ammo. Keep such small defense as possible, better to have those ppl working in corps and costs invested in the future instead, aka healthcare and education indexes.
