War Level 2 against C3 impossible? (Golden Rainbow)

I just became a member, and when I went to conquer a neighboring country for the second time It said there was an option for war level 2, or war level1..

Not really knowing the difference I picked level 2 and my armys got wiped out in a single battle..

It makes no sense at all.. In a previous war I would lose maybe 50 H.arty a battle, but in this war I would lose entire divisions.. close to 3000 of various units.

Does war level 2 make C3 armys like 60 times more effective??? Because thats the only possible reason I can think of that I would take such huge losses.

This is just ridiculous..

If you didnt take out the air defence, you will get slaughtered.
Look around the forums,there are plenty of guides for taking c3's

But how could that make such a big difference?

I didn't bother last time and there were no problems.. Maybe they didn't have any ammo last time?..

I dunno.. It seems weird that 2 wars against C3's with similar weapons could end up so differently.

So much for that idea.. 100Billion lost in one battle.

With each increase of the war levels the quality of the c3 weapon systems increase's as well, as an example at war level 1 the quality might be at around 80 points, at war level 2 around 100, at war level 3 around 120,and by the time you get to war level 7 its 160 therefore to maximise your own attacks on a c3's units make sure you create your own war units with a quality of 160-180.
Also remember to put one or more of your own land units within 35KM of your intended target each and every time before you attack, doing so increase's your chance's of success by a factor of 4, as blueserpent has said already always take out the c3's defence interceptors first before even attacking any other target, when the interceptors are all destroyed move on to attacking the defence helicopters after they are destroyed, what you attack next well thats up to you!

Perhaps each war level brings you closer to reality
