OK, I know that if you want to examine the actively deployed military forces of a foreign nation in simcountry, you can conduct reconnaissance flights with long-range radar planes to examine the defensive garrisons of towns, cities, factories and the like, as well as to examine the composition of existing offensive or defensive military units, but is there a way to detect the weapons of a foreign country when those weapons are merely sitting in that country's stockpile and have not yet been assigned to a unit or garrison?

If they forgot to turn off the news scroll, and you can do a little math, that will tell you a lot. But If the scroll is off and they hid the defense info, you cannot tell what is in reserves.
