In white Giant in march, I engaged in two wars against C3s, one at war level 1 and one at war level 2. I won both of them. Come April, the next month, I don't see any new money as a result. I should have an extra 3 trillion sitting in my cash account in my country but I don't see that.

Why is that? Does it just take some time to arrive?

Lol, no. You have to transfer it out of the C3s.

oh. Ok so just hitting end the war doesn't do anything? Becuase it seemed like it did that automatically for me the first time so I thought it was automatic.

i hit just end the war. is it too late to fix?

and then what do I do in the future? What if I don't actually want the country?

Take over the country, sell everything in stock(weapons, ammunition, products), and after they sell, transfer the money to your main country.
After all the money is transferred, then cancel the country.

i thought there wasn't as much ammunition and weapons anymore since w3 was trying to encourage the arms trade with corporations?

Sell whatever you have in stock. Every little bit helps.
Also, dismantle land and airforce units and then sell those weapons/ammo

could I also keep them to replenish my stocks of off. arms?

or do c3s only keep defensive arms in stock?

There is no monthly cost to keep your ammunition.

weapons use some ammunition each game month.

Is it possible to wage war cost effectively? I attacked a fort to reduce its defenses and ended up blowing through like 5,000 attack helicopter missiles in the process. Which at 33m each is about 150,000,000,000. for one fortification. I still am going to have to take it out with land forces too.

Your choice of weapons is of course very important. Now you know that attack helis aren't the best for forts. Use your ground forces for cheapest, bombers work well and quicker, but dearer. Land based cruise are my favourite but I probably can afford to waste more money than yourself.

Well if you are simply fighting a C3 they won't be attacking you back so ....

You don't have to do this as long as your ground troops can get near a target but I do. Due to perimeter forts etc they generally can't.

At the start of the war I drop SF units near any enemy air defense units.

Use Offensive AA batteries to take down all air defense, attack them directly going for the helicopter units first. I set mine up with 1500, you can only use 1000 at a time but you have to lose 500 before you drop below 1000 attacking units (not going to happen).

Use Attack drones to attack the defense at your target until it is destroyed. Then use long range divisions consisting of 1000 heavy Artillery and 1000 heavy tanks to take down any target where the defense is already gone.

You can of course simply attack the target direct without investing the defense but you'll lose arty first then tanks. Just make sure enemy air defense is down esp. the helicopters, they will eat your lunch.

I find precision bombers work the easiest on those pesky supply and defense units that keep taking back captured territory.

Just hit them with the bombers until there is no damage, then in some cases you may want to follow up with attack drones to finish it off.

Otherwise your long range divisions work too but as long as there are no armored vehicles or defensive missiles .. they will eat your lunch.

If you are fighting a C3 some distance from you simply start the entire process by airlifting in a construction team to build an airfield and remote depot.

Just remember it will take 12 real hours for the airfield to build then you can lift in your units and supply system. So you are looking at starting the fight one night and finishing it the next.

Just make sure you hit something every 7 game months or the war will end. Pop something before you sign off after you've declared then you should be good until your remote depot is built. Once my SF units are on the ground I usually concentrate on the air defense with my Offensive AA.

You can of course do it with other weapons but for C3's I find this method the cheapest.

Up to level five anyway ... ask me again when I hit six.

Thanks.

I know I blew through a lot on midrange missiles and I did get an airbase team in to start work.

How would I defend these guys in an actual fight?

Well that is a horse of an entirely different color.

Someone else can probably tell you better than I as I've been gone from the game a long time.

Basically you need a lot of defense to slow them down, and enough offense to destroy their ability to hit you.
