I live in Alaska. Around midnight-1 am it will hit the last day of the month and hang for over two hours. Literally. I'm not joking. The last day lasts for two hours (man, I hope my citizens don't have to work that day).

However, if I check the time 5 hours later then I find that another two months have processed.

What is causing this month so late in the day to process that isn't making the other months take so long?

The last day of the month takes the longest. It is best to ignore days and focus on months. All the months are the same legnth with the exception of the month that is from 8ish(PM) to 5ish(AM) central time zone. About halfway sometimes quite less into the month the share market opens, and corporation transfers go through. But really other than that a month is a month is a month. on GR you have a 4 hour window i think this is also true for all of the except LU. So just ignore days and take this problem as an unfixable issue, as a lot of processing for the next month happens on the last day.

The same processes are done the same dates of each game moth. I cant see why that would make one particular month in a real day take any longer.

SC do have maintenance mode times, updating and things only they know of. Only thing I can guess is they time this to be the quietest time for most players, which would cause a delay.

Yep, you do have to get used to differing month lengths in real time, I guess it's just how much processing of shares, orders, scores etc that have to be done. As drew says.

Lol, Maybe Alaskan interweb shuts down at that time of night. I mean, you only just got telephones right?
