you can change the buying strategies(trade<order strategies), but don't order more than you can afford per month.
Check "in units" box, low-water mark will be the amount you want, order quantity will be the amount you order per month

I'm in a similar position. Please also see my thread in the beginners section (obviously, this is where we belong...)

Against interceptors you need attack drones or bombers with fighter planes to act as a shield so your FPs don't get annhiliated. Fps by themselves against ints is a no-no.
Also, when attacking interceptors, target a county and attack defenses. Keep attacking until all the ints are gone.
Against helicopters you can use ony FPs with no losses.
Also make sure your Q of weapons/ammo are higher than the Q of the defenses of the c3.

How can you see what the enemy quality is?

It doesn't show up in the LR radar reports.

My problem is over. I tried again and this time there was no trouble at all. Easy win. Kind of strange.

Attack the air defenses and destroy them to prevent counterattacks.

The enemy has ONE interceptor defense wing. Destroy it.
You can find it by moving the mouse over the air force units on the map. Or:
Click on "Select a target from the list" on the left part of the screen.
Click on Army Units (last on the list).
Find the Defense Interceptor Wing. There is one, and click on "Plan Attack" next to it.
You see all your own units.
Choose one of the two Air force Attack Units. It has 240 fighters.
Click on "Attack".
The presetting is for the air force wing to use all 240 fighters.
Click on "Attack Defenses". After a second or two, you see the results of the attack on the lower left side of the screen. It seems that you destroyed many of the 130 Interceptors. You also lost some fighters. Please read the report of the attack. The defense wing is not entirely destroyed.
Click again on "Attack defenses". Most probably, the wing will be destroyed. Check the attack report.
Click on "Abort Attack". You can see on the map that the defense wing is now burning.

this is the tutorial for a newb who wants to takeover a C3 in 10 minutes it states to attack air defenses with fighters and not drones or helicopters am i missing something ethier keto or the gm is mistaken i wonder which one

That tutorial is only valid for the first C3 you attack.

The same principle applies for all C3's as it does for the first one. This is in my opinion the easiest and cheapest way overall, (which is open for debate because of the time involved in the various methods... etc...) Make sure your unit Q is higher than the unit Q of the C3.

1. Build attack/bombing wings of 150fp and 350pb.
2. Build a Long range division consisting of 600 tanks and 1000 arty.
3. Find a COUNTY or TOWN and attack def until there are no more losses.
4. Find the 'Select a Target from a list...' tab in the upper left corner, clk 'Army Unit' and find and attack the defense helicopter wing/s.
5. If you are only raiding, attack the Capitol, cities, and corps by attacking the defense first until there are no more losses, then attack the target. Meanwhile let your long range divisions be taking a joyride around the country, 'painting' it. The few war index points remaining can easily be obtained by attacking a few forts with your LRD's.
6. If your keeping the country you can minimize losses SLIGHTLY by attacking the forts first before the cities and corps. Also if you have a LRD nearby and you have removed all the def heli wings use the LRD to destroy the targets instead of the bombers. (Saves a lil $$)

This of course is a BASIC way to defeat a C3 Obviously there are small variations that you can learn as you go along with your C3 killing careers. The $$ you receive from destroying the C3's in the lower levels easily makes up for the cost involved in taking them and allows for you to make a nice lil profit.

1) 'small' problem: bombers are only available in spacestations. So not around the corner if you're low level.
2) Oh?! Nuch higher than default. Interesting.
6) Actually I think LRD saves quite some cash.

If the game works like the documentation says, you can only raid lvl 1 2 times. Then you're pushed to lvl 2 and resistance becomes stronger.

There's still a difference between 1st and 2nd lvl 1, enemy, I noticed. More airunits in 2nd, though it was still not used by the C3.

Serp, you forgot to mention that if you're attacking a neighbouring C3 then before stage 3 you should place one of your LRDs (or any land unit will do) right next to the town or city you are about to attack the defences of with your FP wing. This acts as a 'spotter' and greatly helps your attack. This only applies to neighbour countries.

You guys need to realise what weapon responds to what or what is most effective against what. Interceptors will attack anything that flies and attacks something in the country. Helicopters will basically attack any land forces that attack their country. So you can take a country without even disturbing the ints.

When you get to higher level wars then attacking int wings individually when they are on the ground like the advice above says, instead of luring them out by attacking a town/county, is not an efficient way to do it. You will be fighting 2 wings instead of 1 for each attack.

There's many things like this to learn, serpents variations, so go for it, and keep reading, seems like I'm often letting secrets out here, ha!

Yes the spotter unit helps if you share borders.

Have you ever heard the saying 'you gotta spend money to make money'? Well that IMO applies in this case. If you can get a FB country in order to buy or produce bombers then you have a source for obtaining bombers. I generally dont spend the time to squeeze out every single penny I can, Im more into speed. Obviously the LRD's save some cash, but is it worth it? I figure I only have a certain amount of time I want to spend on the game and I play accordingly. So for me it is best to have a pb source and shuttle them to my other countries on other worlds. For you it may be different, I dunno! Or you may simply be a freaking genius and Im stupid.

There are a few different ways to play the game.

Thanks for the above posts of advice. I learned some from it and from my mistakes.

You are right, that there are different ways, but in war some of those ways are outright disastrous!

...and certain ways are cheaper than others, I might add.

At least one way is very 'cheap', but hey! The game is as it is ;)
