Selling State corps

After a few game years, i finnally manage to get some corps ready to be IPO

Is it a good idea to put them on the share market ? or is there a way to sell them directly to a CEO ? I did not saw how to sell them to a CEO directly but someone told me I could.

So if I IPO it, the CEO have a chance to bid on them and then if no one wants them they go on the share market?

If you IPO a corp, anyone can buy its shares. An IPO is an offer of shares to the general public.

If you want a specific CEO to buy your corp, he can bid on it before the IPO. But if he wins, he would pay a premium to the seller:

"The price paid for corporations, owned by another player, is increased with

• 100B SC$ if the bid is below 200B SC$,
• 200B SC$ if the bid is between 200B SC$ and 400B SC$,
• 400B SC$ if the bid exceeds 400B SC$."

By the way, that premium is a nice way to subsidize an ally.

If the buyer wants to avoid paying that premium, then you should IPO the corp when its PE is between around 30 and 40. Few investment funds buy at that PE. That means the CEO probably won't have much competition in buying your shares.
