I would like the GM to clarify if you are member of a federation and I was attacked by a player (which I was) would my allies air defence automatically defend my country within range without signing the war treaty? thanks...

I dont think so.

First they must be war lv 3 i think. So if you sign treaty and you are not lv 3 or higher you cannot defend someone.

If this is not true then for example i am in federation with player A that is war lv 9 and he go in war with another player on lv 9 and if i have sign treaty on war lv 1 then that player could also attack me.

James, I saw this question earlier and was holding my answer for someone more qualified than myself to answer. However, I believe responses so far are incorrect. My understanding is that air wings defend federation members, in accordance with federation rules, regardless of the war treaty. This appears to be backed by docs that state:

from: https://www.simcountry.com/cgi-bin/cgid?faq#federations_11

"How does it work when a federation member is attacked?

If a federation member is attacked and the federation rules include mutual defense of the members of the federation, then the air force of the federation members will assist the attacked member by sending their defense wings. These forces might be damaged in such attacks.

Federation members can also setup automatic war declarations if their friends in the federation are attacked. This feature reduces the time between a war declaration by an enemy and the intervention by allies."

As you see, mutual defense is talked about separately from the war treaty issue. Because of this, federation members of sub war level 3 or of a war level not directly able to attack an aggressor of a fed member can still contribute to the defense.

Thanks Aries, So I guess the war treaty is only there if I wanted to go on the offensive for my ally at the same time the enemy or my ally declared war?

So the mutual defence will always be there for you if you are in a federation presuming the air defence or units are within range?

After you sign the war treaty, when a fed member gets decd, your country that signed the war treaty will automatically dec the country(s) that decd your fed member.
