I'm looking for ways to destroy an enemy's defensive radar planes in order to blind his defensive air force so that his interceptor wings, defense wings and helicopter wings won't know where to respond to your attacks. Any suggestions? I'm not planning any specific war. I just want to know. I assume that a nuclear strike which completely destroys a defensive airport would also destroy any defensive radar planes stationed there. What if it's the last airport and can only be 99% destroyed? What are the chances the nuclear strike would still destroy the radar planes stationed at that airport? What about attacks to a defensive airport's defenses with stealth bombers, fighter planes, offensive anti-aircraft batteries or other weapons with anti-aircraft capability? What are the chances of those attacks destroying the defensive radar planes? How about attacks directly to the defensive airport with those same weapons? Again we're assuming it's the enemy's last defensive airport and so can't be 100% destroyed.

I recently did a C-3 raid and tried exactly what you describe. 4 D.A.B. destroyed @ 399%. It had no effect at all on the air war. The bases are easily destroyed and the strategy is good. Unfortunately, it simply doesn't work. The Radar planes are not listed as targets. Perhaps the G.M. may further explain it. Sound thinking though.

Attack the defences instead of the target. As for using it as a strategy I think it's prob a waste. Haven't tried it but just a guess. You'd prob need a lot of attacks and who knows how many radar planes c3's have.

Also, something that comes to mind. I cant be sure, but, I think attacking the defence of an airport all the ints or helis stationed there will respond. That's old knowledge so I'm not sure if it's still the same.
