I can't get the quality of the products to stay on what I want them too.
I have tried to set them to any quality or even 220 quality and both defaulted back to 180 when the next month started. I don't like it defaulting to 180 because I don't want 180 quality. I am sure I am not the only one experiencing this issue and I am probably the only one saying anything. Does anyone else have there quality defaulting to 180 after setting it to something else in the previous month.

Quality was set from day 10 onwards and the next month between days 1-10 it resets to quality 180.

If anyone else is experiencing this issue please post here. I would like to know if I am not the only one and if its a bug that needs to be fixed.

I just noticed it seems to be countries having the issue not enterprises.

I believe if you set it to anything above 230 it just defaults to 180. Set your ordering to 215 and that is all you will need. Anything higher just gets wasted in the production process.

I thank you for you your response. HOWEVER, that doesn't fix my problem. I said I was setting it at 220 not above 230. Manually setting at 215 or 220 and at the beginning of every month what I set get reset to 180 automatically. It will not keep my manually imputed numbers when clearly I'm within the 230 range. Its a automatic thing and a bug that I cant get past only for the countries through. Countries reset the quality automatically every month not the enterprises no matter what you set it as. I don't want to be getting on every 4 hours just to rest the quality. It defeats the pourpus of setting it in the first place. Is there a way to get around this and force the game to keep the settings I manually enter that is within the 230 range or is this a bug that needs to be fixed. Further more I remember 3 years ago when I last plaied the quality could be set to whatever you wanted and it would stay. even telling the quality to be any it resets automatically. As far as I can tell there is no way to keep a manual setting if its set manually or automatically because no matter what you have the quality set as it defaults to 180 at the beginning of each and every month.

Check your automation settings perhaps something is on there that should not be.

Ive already looked but I will look again. I have new corporations set to a quality of 220 and the only automatic thing is automatic ordering of supplies. That has nothing to do with the quality otherwise my enterprise would be having the same problem and my enterprise has no issues. Im not some new player that doesn't know what hes doing. I am an old player coming back after 4-5 years of not player and I can promise you that I know what I am talking about. I was here for the switch to the pronto engine that this game is running on. Its a auto quality issue with contries only and the only thing that could be close to a autmatic setting is the Automatic placing orders for products that your country needs and nowhere in that says the quality and its a quality set issue and there is no automatic quality set option.

I looked at your corporations and they are buying supplies at 280-300 quality. Something is not adding up. Try setting corporation quality from 180-250 in increments of 10 and see which corporations revert back to 180.

Thats not possible. It says Im buying at 180 and if I could take a picture of it to show I would. You are right something is not adding up if this is the case. I think the game might be bugged because that is not what is showing on my end.

There is an assumption here that you can set a quality level and this is what will happen.

This is not how it works.

you can set what you want, but what happens is what is available on the other side.

Nobody ever guarantees that what you wish for is available on the market or that anyone will take what you offer.

Simcountry does not buy or sell anything.
players do.

the trading system must make trades or otherwise much of the offers and requests will not be traded and will stay on the market.

The trading system, mainly at high quality and price levels, makes trade offs and does what it can and it is not what is requested.

The percentage of trade offers and requests that match exactly is very small.

well then that's the problem. The quality is set so high from type players that the corporations are closing all over the place. you answered someone else involving the closing of corporations and numbed it off as not enough workers. I know for a matter of fact that I had several operations close when every corporation had 100% workers in the entire country and leftover to make more corporations. They closed because they couldn't turn a profit. The higher the quality the higher the price to buy what it needs which means it is the players fault that the corporations are closing because the players have set the quality to high for corporations to make a profit which in turn means that everything all the problems going on right now is because the players have caused it.

every corp that close it just says "corp was shut because factory value and utilization is too low"

Same here it doesn't matter if it has 100% workers in the corporation the quality is so dang high that it can't make a profit that is why the value is low and why the utilization is too low. No wonder so many people are having difficulties with corporations closing right now because its the players fault the quality is set so high. if it wasn't for that maybe it would turn a profit and not close.

You guys heard it from Andy players control the quality and common knowledge says quality effects prices and if the quality is too high your corp will shut because factory value and utilization is too low because of too high of quality set by players.

That in itself is a HUGE problem that needs fixed. So in short this is what is happening.

High quality set by players =
better profits =
corporation shutdown if it doesn't turn a profit with the higher quality.

Curtis, welcome back. There have been a lot of changes in the last few years.

About the quality reset. Post world, country, corp names. Was there some kind of shortages in the country that triggered the auto protect?

As John said you are overpaying for your supplies. Your average quality needs to be around 215. Look at 'Herbold Weapon Qt Upgrades 01' in 'The 02 Nation of Herbold'. Average supply quality looks to be around 230 -240. A fully upgraded corp will max at 270 output with 220 quality. There is about +- 5 quality on market purchases.

In that country a corp closed in AUG. Look at the employment graphs for the upgrades and home equip corps and you will see you had a shortage of some worker group in JUN and JUL.

With the current market some corps never make a profit others barely break even. Your home equip corps are bleeding over 1B$ a month.
