How you give up a war

How do you give up attack to a computer-controlled region in the middle of a fight?

Just stop attacking, the war will end.

I am not attacking, but the war is still there.

Basically, the country is too far to attack, and it is a computer controlled country

Once you stop attacking, the war will auto end after a few RL days
