How do you raise your defense index? (White Giant)

i just want to make sure im buying the right weapons and everything. im going for level 2 and i want to see exactly what to build and exactly what to buy to raise my defense index for level 2.

This question has just been answered so many times. Have you checked around the forum? There is no one answer of what "exactly" you should buy. Read the game documentation and it will explain your choices.
