WildEyes (Little Upsilon) | Friday, December 19, 2008 - 06:12 am I've seen a lot of dumb, moronic, completely asinine and idiotic suggestions in my time here on SC... but this one actually isn't half bad, and I'm surprised no one has said anything about it yet. For this, you get a bump, and I hope your suggestion finds favor with someone more important than I. Then again, I'm against the whole cashout feature anyways. But, nevertheless, this gives W3 a middle ground to allow players a way to quickly convert game cash into coins which can be reinvested. I would like to make an addition to this suggestion. It would create problems on the cash market to have players buying and selling with two different currencies, and furthermore, the issue of conversion will come up. For example, should someone using silver coins be allowed to buy population from someone wanting gold coins, or should someone have to select whether or not they want to sell population for gold or silver. Naturally, people will want to BUY with silver, and then SELL for gold. I suggest that silver be used only in transactions between the gamemaster and players. For example, in a direct-conversion cash > coins like we used to have, or when buying population from the gamemaster directly. There should also be a fixed rate for changing silver coins into game money as well as a limit per week. Finally, gold coins should be convertable to silver, at a rate set by W3C, but not vice-versa. It's late. Sorry if I'm rambly. Someone else say something now. |
