I have posted a members vote for a new radar feature that would provide information as to who has looked at your defensive units, providing you own at least one defensive radar plane.

But, then I thought of other radar features that could be implemented.

How about the more DRPs you have, the more information you receive. For example - one DRP would confirm a spying mission has taken place, two DRPs would provide the country name, three the units viewed and so on.

Or, how about radar command centres with their own wing of radar planes. Each centre would allow the president to choose another country/empire and then receive detailed dossiers of new wings set up, new bases and military airports built, new strategic corps built etc. Maybe a limit could be imposed as to how many of these you could have per country. These centres could also have a use during war, which would make them a valuable target for the enemy and would therefore need to be heavily defended for protection.

Like everything else in SC, Radar Command Centres would be a product and its composition would be fairly simple - bricks/stone, building materials, construction, electric power, computers, high tech services, software, services and FMU.

IMO, radar is something that could easily be expanded to provide more features to the game and advise players of potential threats from other presidents.

Please feel free to comment on these suggestions and/or post more ideas for radar.

what about electric/electronic components, and computers to run that software? radio waves arent generated so easily. Id agree with this but just make radar facilities which reveal unit movements in a certain diameter. but most radar has a minimum altitude so it could only be used for air i dunno the way the war engine seems to work makes radar irrelevant.

Good suggestions you have there Kiteless.
Then maybe when you know who has been spying on you, you could set up a 12 game month anti-spy unit against that country (it would be silly to have a permanent unit set up). The anti-spy unit would be made up of fighters which would then attack radar planes sent to infiltrate your air space from the country which has been spying on you.
Then if the President who's spying on you really, really really wants to look at your defences (they might be about to declare on you)they could send fighters to protect their radar planes?
