I would like to see some new automation introduced to the stock market for both enterprises and countries (investment funds) - particularly the latter.

As it stands, managing an inv. fund or stocks by yourself is probably the most tedious part of the game (unless you've had to click through 1000 air defense wings). It is also one of the least understood and most underplayed part of the game. The majority of players only touch the stock market as countries in the form of IPOs, and as CEOs in order to get GM corps or again with IPOs. There is no actual investment or capital building done through the stock market, and there is little incentive for people to create more public corps.

For inv. funds, I would like for presidents to be able to set the automation parameters themselves in order to replace the default.

I would like to:
-be able to set which P/E range they want shares to be bought in.
-be able to set when shares get sold based on % increase in the share price over what was paid (EX: i bought shares at $10SC each, they're now $45SC, 450% increase = sell. This function should probably track overall value rather than actual share price to allow for share splits to not mess things up)
-be able to set what P/E history triggers shares to be bought sold (EX: 50% P/E improvement over X months = buy stock in this corp)
-be able to "hold" shares regardless of other settings (like if it's my own corp and i don't want to sell shares, or if i just want to let dividends ride the cycles)
-be able to set min and max prices of shares to buy (because I don't want to buy shares at $6000SC)

Those are a few things that would be useful imo.

The IFs already do some of these things when they're set to automatic, but we have no control over the specific settings. Would be nice to have some middle-ground for control where one doesn't have to watch over the shares each day.

I'd very much like to second these suggestions.

Perhaps setting up a country pension fund trading operation, where you could set several variables or buy/sell orders relative; to P/E, such as these suggested here, as well as to Market Value, and Debt-to-Equity ratios.

A distant dream perhaps, but implementing some kind of bankruptcy resolution for corporations, other than closure, would also be at the top of my wish list. This would greatly increase participation in and enjoyment of the loan aspect of the game for many players.

Just getting the stock market so it doesn't keep hanging would be a vast improvement...
