The entire game's economy is based on the fact that every simnation is a capitalist republic. Countries should be given the option to adopt socialist/ communist economies.

Haha, every simnation is not in fact a capitalist republic. Transportation, Social Security, Education, and Healthcare are all government controlled. The system in place resembles a pure-socialist system far more than a pure-capitalist system. Therefore, it is quite easy to create a socialist state.
1. Build only State (and/or National) corporations.
2. Block CEO's.
