Real Estate/Housing Investment (Golden Rainbow)

Does anyone else think the option for direct investment in real estate/housing would add to the game? As a real estate professional in the real world I think it would be a good addition.

How about a new corporation that builds houses and a second that builds apartment rental properties.

The supply/demand for these would be tied into the your countries unemployment rate and various other indexes.

Just to add to my comment above, the apartment rental market would be a good place for investment funds to park their excess coin.

Maestro, you're reading my mind. I've long thought that there should be both apartments and houses. That gives us some interesting choices.

Right now, our population seems homeless. It's strange that countries have furniture, home equipment, and household products but not actual homes.

Before adding population, we should be required to buy apartments or houses for them. A real estate market would create other possibilities for a mortgage market and rental market.

The bottom of every country finance page has statistics for "Housing Investments." That shows that the automation already has some kind of secret real estate market. Let's get it out of the closet.
