Modern fighter planes in the real world cost any where from $18 mil for an F-16 to $75 mil for a Eurofighter and the most advanced/expensive fighter the f-22 is still $150 mil. That's still cheaper than the $217 mil a single fighter plane costs on GR and naval fighters cost a ridiculous $490 mil EACH.

The base price should be brought down a lot, like to $50 mil each, and add a stealth fighter plane for $200 mil. Also naval variants should be 50%, not 100%, more expensive than the regular plane.

On a side note: Who thought up of "golden rainbow" for a world name it sounds like a gay pride parade.

No. Nononono.

We have enough problems here without worrying about realistic costs of fighter planes.

Furthermore, the base price of a fighter plane is $343 million in this game. The base price of a navy fighter plane is $439 million. NFP is about 30% more expensive than fighter plane. It's the relative amounts of supply and demand in the market that causes naval fighters to be so much more expensive.

And I don't see anything wrong with Golden Rainbow. "Pink Rainbow" would be more evocative of a gay pride parade.

And even then so what :/

Looool, and it would have to be a big mofo aircraft carrier to carry 20K NFP.

Reality? Not for me thanks...

In "Dude's" defense This is a 'realistic simulation'. Or supposed to be at least.

Gay Pride Parade though? A little Xtra if you ask me.

Golden Rainbow was originally named back in the day as a "premium" world that you had to pay extra to be on. At one point, it was the only world that didn't reset your country after a certain period of time.

They later scrapped that model and went for the current one which is probably more successful.

It's part of why we have those magical things called "Gold Coins" used to have to spend cash or gold coins to play on Golden Rainbow.

Golden Rainbow used to the only world with a navy, so... In the Navy...

As WhiteDarkness said, Golden Rainbow was a premium world. Gold Coins we're needed to move there and pay registration. And what's on the end of a rainbow? A pot o' gold! Golden Rainbow was launched some time near Saint Patrick's Day too.
