Adding a little flavour to the game (Little Upsilon)

Back in the day, there used to be a newspaper at the bottom of every country's page that announced events going on in the world.

I recently had an idea regarding that newspaper. Anyone who's played SimCity would have seen the "News Ticker" that, along with listing important events, also says some silly stuff like "Broccoli proven to cure cancer". How cool would it be if SC had a newspaper much like SimCity's news ticker? I'm thinking something like this:

World: LU
Events: 1 war in march, 1 Earthquake in May.

I will strike first. Most certainly and without a doubt. Good idea, funny yes, practical no. But I like it.

The Psycho Honey/Scarlet thing was just for shits and giggles. You two are always at each other's throats.

I think it would be perfectly practical without the last part. Just have a set of maybe 100 or 200 different "newspaper items", along with 4 or 5 different "items" on wars and natural disasters, and then rotate them based on what's happening in the world (if nothing, you use the generic newspaper items).

I agree, plus one, you should submit it to voting. I remember that bit from simcity, and another game I have played (I have since forgotten the name, it might come to me later.

Could you submit it for me? I could write the proposal for you if you like. I actually recently submitted a proposal :P Seems like all I ever do is suggest improvements for this game :P

I personally can not submit it, as I am for the moment a free member. That may or may not change in the next day or so. But I am sure other people would be willing.
