I believe that the limit on the number of countries in a federation should be removed.

Can you give a sound arguement for that please Scarlet. I'm not saying I disagree. There is always the option to have fed branches.

There is no sound argument other than it will give him an advantage he doesn't already have. Recruit n00bs all over the map and ... you get the picture.

His rational motivation for this suggestion is he wants to have air defense wherever he sends those vulnerable fleets. As always 'self serving' not 'game improving'. Too much of this going on in SimCountry today. So many suggestions, so little though on the impact of a change on others rather than self benefit... Ugh.

its not like you can't set up air defense practically anywhere you want, anyways.

Feds should be allowed to ally themselves with other feds

Set ally or enemy stat so people know. Under a players war level it should tell you based on your fed if your allied, Enemy, neutral stand toward them.

This would help my entire federation rather than just myself . . . and everyone that is a member of a federation with more than 25 countries as members (which would be a more than a few players). The only people that would be hurt are those without federations. Anyway, I've never seen air defense defend fleets.

As Crafty mentioned, there is always fed branches. As Josias said, you can set up Air Defense wherever you want. Currently, I can set up wings in every country on LU and simply rotate between fed branches, it would take less than a day. It's not terribly difficult, more annoying than anything else. My argument would be (ignoring the war treaty at the moment) that this is entirely unnecessary and pointless. Limiting federation membership, considering that Air Defense wings themselves have their range limited, doesn't make any sense and imposes limitations, weak ones true but ones without purpose, on the growth of federations that prove harmful to less organized federations and annoying for more organized federations.

However, the war treaty changes the equation. Better to have branches with a war treaty option than a superfed without one.

well, thats not what i meant, but same effect, i guess. and yes, air d will respond your fleets being attacked, if they are in range. but considering the nature of long range fleets and localized air d...

I have to disagree with Wendy and say that I agree with Scarlet's suggestion. It's not really self-serving at all - I thought the same thing from the first day I played SC. My reason is different, though - it's just administratively easier and more aesthetically pleasing to have all your members in the same federation.

They should at least remove the 25 player limit on CM's because that is so pointless. Why not have giant common markets that span the globe? That would rock. Seriously...it would be good for economy, its good for business, everyone wins!

I like the idea of having federation becoming allies and federations forming alliances this would work at first and than if all works well tahn take of the limit.
