I think that communist and fascist countries should be able to set up forced labor camps in their countries that force the workers to build things like roads, rail, or whatever. It would probably carry some kind of penalty with it but the good side of it would be free labor, no salaries. I guess the penalty there would be some percentage of the workers dying in the camps due to terrible living conditions...my reason for suggesting this is twofold:
1. Forced labor is realistic, as it has happened throughout history, and
2. You could get somebody to do pretty much anything for free if you point a gun at them.
Any thoughts?

We dont even have a flat % of any stat of the government parameters, so i rather doubt that morally... contested ideas such as slave labour and work camps will be introduced. That will only be a slippery road down to a horrible state of the game.

However, a % modifier to upkeep cost of infrastructure (or any other logical stat) cause of government choice should and can be quite al-right. One have to abstract things. If a player then wants to role-play nasty things what that modifier implies, they are free to do so.

There has been talk about similar things since the early days of SC, but W3C has as most said that a abstract modifiers _might_ be (or been added) to their extensive wish list (correct me if i recall incorrectly).

I know where you coming from Lenin, I've got another idea. Maybe if you can even capture people and turn them into slaves by raiding for people in nearby C3 countries by using armies or navies (be like using the sneak attack option) and they can be classed as 'slave workers' under the employment category, they can be employed in such as the agricultural or mining industries which if slave workers are available would gradually replace low level workers in order for the corporations to save salary costs, as slaves would work for free.
