I believe that the prohibition on the purchase of offensive weapons ought to include an exception for long range radar planes. I try to maintain a small number of LRRPs at all times, so that I can better observe what is taking place in other countries. This is useful in order to study the military tactics of other players, and to be aware of any military action which they might be preparing to take which could affect my country. Unfortunately, once in a while one of my LRRPs gets shot down, and I need to replace it. Normally, this isn't a problem, because I can simply purchase another one. However, at the moment, my country is currently over 3,000,000,000,000 SC$ in debt, as a result of recent military upgrades. I recently lost one of my LRRP, but now I can't replace it, because the game has decided that my country is too far in debt, even though buying merely ONE replacement long range radar plane could not possibly set my country back very far, and the cost thereof would be recovered by the next real-life day. I therefore believe that there should be an exception for Long Range Radar Planes, simply because they are a useful tool during peacetime, and the occasional losses cost so little to replace.

Your 3T in debt and your index's are low and your war level 0 worry more about your econ and less about radar planes

Yeah, they are not really an offensive weapon. You can get good use from them in a defensive manner like a9f..... does.
