Who thinks there should be a new law and order index displayed in the same way like health and education is? why have it as part of the 'general cost of government' on the finances page when really it should have its own page where it would show the number of crimes that are commited, and criminals that are being arrested each year in the same way it shows the number of births and deaths for the health index, which means in turn will mean a new industry will emerge that builds police stations.

I think the effects of the index will mean that..

A high law and order index (presuming its over 100) would mean
A higher welfare index because there would be lower crime and corruption

A low law and order index (presuming it's probularly under 50) would mean a lower welfare index and a lot of civil unrest and riots which will be costing the country.

If anybody else thinks something like this should be done please post comments here or better still take it the vote polls, as I can't as i'm a free member at the moment.

Nope, well i think no anyways.

Just about the only factor in the WORLD that has a sufficient coorelation coefficient to crime rates is average income in comparison to the cost of living. If you can create a society where the average income is 1M $ then it's only threats (violent crimes) are foreigners. Obviously there is a level of error involved in that. This is why I would very much like to see the cost of government math. As the more stable the economy the lower the cost of law and order should be, but I think it's opposite. Anyways that's my argument against it, gun wielding tools with superiority complexes shouldn't lower my birth rate. By I like the thinking involved kudos. =)
