My suggestions are as follows:
1. Loans should be more directional as to who my loans are going to and I think nations should be able to shop around. a minimum interest rate is always good but nation and corporations alike should be able to adjust the actual interest rates to suit a clients needs. And Clients should have the option to view all available loan offers and and select the one that suits them best... not wait for the game to decide when to accept a loan an on what terms.
2. Military occuaptions (not take overs). I believe Glogoth said this before, but just because I go to war with a nation doesnt mean I want to keep it. I may want to force a nation the neighbors me to change something about his government, or whatever. The player of the occupied nation will still have his or her nation but will not have normal access to military options.
