Raw Number Education Targets

In addition to setting education priorities, I'd like an option to specify an absolute number of each kind of worker to train.

For example: train 25,000 nurses instead of setting the priority, monitoring and adjusting. Once the target is reached, the education resources (or priority #) automatically shifts to whatever targets have not yet been met.

The target could refer to either the total number of workers, or to the number of unemployed workers you'd like to have on standby, or both.

I'd not like that, would be too far from how it'd work in the real world.
In the real world you can give people a tendency to learn/study certain fields with lets say cheaper schooling costs (high edu prio)or higher numerus clausus (lower edu prio)but either way there will allways be people who want to get a certain job and they will learn on their own or people moving in from other countries that have a certain qualification... So basically I'd say the edu-prio system works fine in my opinion.

I see your point of wanting less automation, though I don't see the harm in simply having the option to pick whatever level of automation you'd prefer.

I'm not sure I understand how setting education priorities corresponds to cheaper school costs or numerous clausus in the "real world."

My citizens tend not to behave like free agents, though they may entertain certain sim-fantasies...

or you can take 1 minute and change your education priorities like evryone else instead of being lazy and disregarding the only part of the game that takes a shred of skill or knowledge
