I don't know whether a system like this could work but I thought of another brainstorming idea from another similar online game to this one as I believe this one would have benefits and flaws, but no players on this game would not be safe at all which will either have an 'Independent' or a 'Puppet State' status which will mean no war levels and no temporary war protection. My idea would work like this.

A guaranteed limit of up to 4 countries

I propose a maximum limit for a player to be guaranteed up to 4 countries without him losing any countries completely of what he has worked so hard to build up which means even if one of his countries defence index is reduced to 0, he will be conquered but will not lose control of his country.

Puppet States......

Puppet states are countries that are under the protection of another players country of which he will serve as your protector. Whether its through invasion or by asking for his protection. The advantage of this, is his country will never be attacked or invaded by other aggressive players which is just like the secured mode we have now. The disadvantage of this however, is that you will not have the ability to attack other players directly, but only in defence when it comes to your federation allies.

* If you have less than 4 countries for example, and has one of your countries invaded by another player, you will still get to keep your country after you have lost the war.

* You can choose to be under the protection of an independent state. Not with your own countries.

* You cannot declare war on other puppet states.

* You cannot declare war on independent states unless he is

Independent States.......

Independent states are countries who are independent from everyone else, just like having no war levels or no war protection at all. The advantage of this is that you are free to declare war on the other independent states and own some puppet states of your own. The disadvantage of this though, is that you can be attacked by other players who are also independent and also cannot declare war on any countries who is a puppet state.

* An independent state will have the ability to declare war on other players who are independent.

* You cannot declare war on your own puppet states. Only your own puppet states can declare war on you.

* You cannot declare war on other countries puppet states.

* If you invade an independent players country who has 4 countries or less for example, that country is automatically subjugated and will become one of your puppet states.

How the war invasion system would work

For puppet states.....

* Puppet state >>declares war and invades>> Protector = Puppet state will become an independent state, while the other puppet states who that protector owns will also gain independence too.

* Puppet state >>declares war and invades>> C3 country = becomes another puppet state of the same protector who owns that puppet state.

* In federation wars, the puppet states cannot go on the offensive but will only be able to assist in the defence of their allies.

For independent states.....

* Independent state >>declares war and invades>> Independent state = becomes a puppet state.

* Independent state >>declares war and invades>> C3 country = will gain the country for himself and becomes another independent state.

* In federation wars, th

For anybody to read, as it's probularly why i've had no response from this. But just to put this simple to you all, there is 2 functions here.

* You can have war protection (Puppet State), with someone and not be attacked, or cannot attack anybody at all.

* Or have no war protection (Independent State), and be attacked by anybody, or even attack someone who is also an independent state.

I'll try and bring out a more simpler solution to this soon.

The war protection/secured mode should not be taken care of by the gamemaster like it is now. Instead the player should start looking to seek for protection from an independent state from the beginning of the game within a given timeframe.

Also I would propose a feature for nobody to ever lose their last country on any given world. The war should just end, not completely taken over by another player, as this is the reason why my only country is on secured mode and cannot be attacked.
