well, i was thinking side effects. when i was young, growing up in an area with allot of potato fields, the workers where given a 20 lb bag a week, (in addition to their pay,) we never bought potatoes.

if a country has few iron mining corps, wouldn't that mean that local steal corps would get cheap materials, do to lower transportation costs?

of course you can ship anything all over the world, but the easier it is to get something some where, the cheaper. this is similar to the promised "Country resources," but not the same.

well, aside from the sillyness, wouldn't increased boredom also increase the demand for entertainment, shows, sports, vacations, telephone, internet, software, computers, household goods, cable tv, and food? possibly creating health problems do to over eating and depression?

and why would increased birthrates make females unhappy? thats a bit of an assumption, isn't it? but to follow, unwanted children tend to grow into criminals, so an increased birth rate, in your scenario would increase Government costs, (law enforcement, and corruption?)

I meant to point out that wives generally don't like their husbands going to strip clubs and thus would become unhappy. The strippers might have large numbers of unwanted babies.

Either way this is a good idea. To properly implement it though, we'd have to spend time trying to figure out pros/cons for every product and ensure that nothing goes out of balance.
