9. Never lose your last country Status: Please read our response [ top ]

Detailed Description:

I would like to propose a feature for nobody to ever lose their last country through war on any given world. The war should just end, not completely taken over by another player, as this is the reason why many of us have them in secured mode and cannot be attacked as we all know we would lose control of that country. It could also be possible to drop the war levels if this was implemented as everyone would be guaranteened to keep control of their last country. It could be just like the good old days again when there was a lot more players here on this game and where lots of warring and interaction took place.

The proposal has been ACCEPTED.

W3Creative reaction:

We have decided to discuss this idea and will react to it on the forum withing the next two weeks.
There are some problems with the concept but it is worth of a good review.

I was just wondering if this was ever discussed on any of the forums as I wasn't around soon after I posted this on the voting news several months back at the time. Did it ever come to a conclusion Andy/GMs?

I think it was concluded that this is already in the game... Secured mode.

If you want to protect an empire you also have war levels or can buy war protection. You could, also, do the unthinkable and buy some weapons, some ammo, and seek a fed. Raiding at the lower war levels is still quite profitable and can fund a defense with the help of planning or the advise of vets.

I like this proposal... letting people use their mains in war without all the risk.... certainly would free stuff up for free players abit

Aries is right on this.
You have secured mode. if you remove it and decide to go to war, you are on your own.

if you do not want to lose your last country leave it in secured mode and read the message by Aries once more.

But Andy and Aries, you're both telling me what I already know and exists. All i'm saying is that we should have the opportunity to use our mains in war against other players without the risk of losing that country.

I suppose I could take the secured mode off from my country and decide to go to war, I would be on my own, that's true. But the problem with that though, is if I lose that war, I would lose complete control of my main country to another player.

So let such as us who only have 1 country for example, wage war with them without the risk of losing it to another player. So what if we lose against them and would have war damage to pay for, or corps to rebuild, we'll take care of it as that would be the fun part for us.

If you are afraid of losing your main in a war dont get involved in one. Its a real simple concept. I mean after all... you dont want to risk very little and stand to gain alot do you? C'mon man!

In reality though, the main can contribute in a war with air def, it just cant assist offensively.

I can see both sides to this. If james were to war with his only nation and loose. He is out of the game and has to totally start over. But at the same time staying safe means he misses out on a big part of the game (well it should be a big part)waring.

What if when you war with your last nation you do not loose the nation but it is obliterated. You would have all the losses and damages of being destroyed by your enemy but could keep the nation. And on top of this pay some repercussions to the winner over time. A % of your nations income and perhaps depending on the size of the nation maybe even a % of workers that graduate each game month. Until your war debt is payed you can not buy arms take another nation or enter in a war at all. No c3 no pvp. Not safe mode but sanctioned mode. Just an idea...

Erin,
This is too complex.
It is exactly as Serpent said here.

If you want to keep your main outside of the war, keep the protection on.
develop a secong country, grow its economy and army, move all the resources you need for war into it and use it as your fighting entity.
everybody does that.
keep some essential assets in the main country and limit the potential damage.

At least Erin understands me where i'm coming from here, but I feel we should have the choice to wage war with our mains and not have the risk of losing control of it altogether. I don't want an extra country just so I can wage war with it. I just want my main to do war with and not lose control of it if I lose, that's all I ask.

I would have thought this could have been implemented quite easily as an extra option, especially for new and single player countries alike to encourage more petty wars between each other and thus increasing the number of active new players daily here.

I just hardly think its fair that free players need to war with their main while premiums don't need to risk anything and can simply take a c3 and bring in some weapons.... I for one think that is unrealistic and grossly unfair

In the real world there are multiple things that happen when a defending country loses.

1.) attacker annex's
2.) attacker occupies for a time and creates a puppet state
3.) attacker sacks and leaves

THAT WONT BE ABUSED!!!!

Super is right. You should not have the choice to initiate a war (you are the one that dropped secured mode) and risk less than the country you are at war with. Something may fit within this limit (like a more limited war where neither country is at risk of being lost) and be a valid suggestion but I have not seen it yet.

I dunno why you guys keep saying there's no risk.... of course there's risk..... someone destroying all your corps and depoping your country is certainly risk.... I just don't think people want to risk losing the country they have had for so many game years.... its also unfair for the opponent.... if someone just attacks through slaves and never risks their economic main then why would you want to fight them...... I like the idea.... have no more secured mode for mains but disallow the mains from being lost in war

Reread. I said less risk. One side should not have a country at risk of being lost in a war when the other does not.
