I get the need for score penalties, so that new players can also get awards and not the same people every month. But this ranking system is very confusing, since you don't really know with all the penalties which country is really good and which isn't. The war and financial rank can also be very misleading for obvious reasons.

So I propose, without changing anything at the penalties and awards systems, that the rankings page be reprogrammed to contain the following info (it can easily be done in the form of "tabs"): Rankings with Penalties, Rankings without penalties and Slave only rankings. This way, a moral incentive will be at least given to those players with big penalties to compete for the best country in their planets without having to do all the math with deductions etc. I think it'd be nice and easy from a programming point of view.

I support this. I am interested to see who the real "best presidents" are. The game needs more competitiveness and goals to reach especially after getting weighed with penalty points.

There was a vote back in the day for this

Econ-
was ranked on Total income per nation, GDP, and wither or not the nation made a good income or not

War
Military size and Quality of the military weapons/ammo.

something similar should be added.

I agree with Christos. This would be an excellent addition to the game.

I agree that this will be nice to have.
we will look into it as it makes the system even more complex again.

Well Andy, the easiest way I'd guess would be to rename the now called 'Best Presidents' to something like 'Monthly Contest' and make a new 'Best Presidents' tab were the Countries are listed with their Scores before the Penalties added.

This would show who are the real 'best presidents' are without adding complexity to the system and would be nice to have.

If you want something more I'd recommend the former posts of 'Scarlet' on the KB Forum like 'KB Statistics 25 April 2013'. Those are nicely detailed and would pretty much cover any ranking wishes someone could have.
