How about a short range shuttle. it would have 1/3 or even 1/5 the mission, but as a significantly reduced building cost, and could still use the excisting shuttle parts. the current shuttles would still be valuable to the heavy spacers, but with a short range shuttle, it would significantly reduce the "buy in," cost of space

We have reduced the price of production of shuttles and their parts several times recently and will reduce them more.

Introducing anoth shuttle will only make it more complex and maybe not even cheaper as a smaller shuttle will transport much less and the price per transported unit will increase.

As al prices keep falling, we think that the issue will be resolved.

ok, i was just noticing that selling shuttles WAY cheaper than what any one could build them for, is the only way to actually move them. in the past when i tried to match the price to the building cost, i'd rarely ever sell a shuttle, but reducing to price to fraction of the cost, has generated more GC than i could the other way. i'm good with taking a cash hit to do this, it makes since.

so can i put in another plug for the "space taxi," service. i see that as good way to pick up trading volumn in space. rather than converting GC to cash, and buying from the world market, if you could buy products at 1/2 or 1/3 the cost with GC from a space station, it'd make it a much more viable game feature. removing the need to buy a shuttle, or rent a space dock would make space trade much more viable for those that don't really wanna commit allot of resources.

good thinking on your part.

we were planing to look into the pricing system for products on the space stations and make it easier to set your own pricing, certainly on the lower end.
we discussed this before.

I will try to push it more quickly.
