New Idea - Edicts and population happines

hey i have an idea for the game i think it will be a lot fun if you see the population happines
example

100% happines = The People Loves You

90 % happines = they still belief in you

80% happines = rumers are spreading

70% happines =they begin to talk about you and your rule

60% happines = They beginning to lose faith in your rule

50% happines = the will question your rule

45% happines = They demand inprovements

40% happines = They demand elections /you can choose / Yes i will win the people's heart again or No there is no need for an election

35% happines = Demand that that you Resign from office

30% happines = Demonstrations / you can choose talk to the demonstraters or crush the demonstration

20% happines = small riots in a few of your major cities

10% happines = riots all over the country and they warn you for an uprising

Its a good idea. Happiness or population satisfaction is a critical part of any country.

and it will be nice if you have an nieuw force such as the armed military you can now create Police forces they can defend you country and keep order in you city's if there will be a riot or a civil war the your police force can fight them but i will decrease your population happiness
if you arrest or kill the ring leaders of the mob they will dismiss but if you kill al more will join the resistence and will trigger the civil war

and more you cannot attck another country with it they are only for within your country you can choose to attack mob that are rioting this will damage you city's they not much but very few 0.5 or 1 % but thats why you need send the police there to take controll and bring order and if they will not dismis but go furt

No not tropico but in every country can it happen you have 50.000.000 population but no police ?

Police in sc are included in the general cost of government.

Could be but you must have a new popup named police forceit must be the same as military page you must see your police force members 120,000 and it would be nice if you can deploy them in city's and the capitol and towns and county's that will support the peace and order in in case of civil war the city's would not be taken with out a fight

I do think that a police force should be involved in this game though than just having them included in the cost of government as they are after all, an important part of maintaining law and order in your country, which could add more excitement to the game.

I am not sure if having police units like army units on this game would work, but I would however, rather prefer to see a crime rate for a country that will depend mainly on the amount of police you have, and the welfare index of that country which acts like a happiness level anyway.

I wouldn't know what police units should do.
should they move around? what will be the direct benefit for the country and how will they influence the situation in the country.

We think that currently, adding more information is important.

we are adding a cash log, showing more details on where money goes and where it comes from.
we intend to add a spending page, showing how much is spent by the population on which products.

we will also add a doc, describing all corporations in details, numbers of workers, changes when you upgrade them, production numbers etc.

as for the benefit of the country if you allow crime to affect welfare indexes or even affect production and corporations it would add a new factor to a CEO decision on if he wants his corp in high crime area it would also persuade presidents with higher taxes to reconsider due to a lack of economic attractiveness. also more business for hospitals so a spike in medical materials, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and an increase in a demand for hospitals which are currently in a high surplus(at least on LU) which will eliminate said surplus and allow for a new need to invest in ones country. i dont know how you would do such a thing but thats my 2 cents thought up in like 5 min so its just an idea not really thought out.

I'm agree with jmc, in real life crime rate affects the private investments and the cost of public health increases.

The more I think about the police units, the more I think that having army garrisons should effect the crime rate of a country. Especially since that no one hardly bothers with army garrisons for wars as we all use air wings for defending our countries.

Think again I defend all my forts cities and bases ect in my countries there is no free ride even if someone were able to kill all my air def.

Most of this would be interesting. I think a start would be to have the type of government matter for more than just the title you give your self. Queen or President should be important. Monarchy hiding theocracy and a Republic hiding corporate feudalism are totally different. Too bad there is no such thing as a real democracy
