I think it'd make more sense to allow countries to invest their funds in their own state run or public traded, state managed companies. RL investors tend to invest in their own nations.
I agree. It would make sense. the problem with it is that by doing so, many corporations will become "public" while they are not really public. Public corporations have huge advantages and in this way, it could be miused to make corporations public without any risk of losing them.
