Slave countries for other players perhaps?

I think slave countries should automatically be made available to play for other players who could manage one of those countries on behalf of another player. This I thought, would be ideal for those who wish to generally play the peaceful game only of just managing and running the country like they would do now and treat it like their own, except they will not be able to declare war on other countries since they are only a slave country, except for their leader if they wish to break away and gain independence from them.

However, they will be still able to build up their own military for their own defense, and if they were ever invaded by another player, they will instead be a slave country to the new conqueror. This I also thought, could very well be a way to eventually abolish the war levels, or at least ease a lot of the current restrictions.

I have also done a rough idea of some new rules and functions below

Slave countries can build up their own military for their own defense, or even be used against their leader in order to gain independence from that player

If they fail to gain independence from that player, their leader can choose to expel that player from running that country

Leader countries can set a tax rate for their slave countries

Players who run slave countries, will never lose control of them unless they decide to quit the game

A new "empire size level" would be introduced to replace the current war levels, so as not to see a 10 country size empire with 10 players controlling them, to gang up on just 1 lone independent country

The "empire size level" will also be expanded to the federations as well. Which means if 10 empires with 10 countries each join the same federation, this means it will be a total size of 100 countries, which means neither of the leaders can declare war on any small empires or federations since they are too small and would make the game extremely unfair.

Has anyone else got any thoughts or other ideas about this suggestion?

Not a good idea, in my opinion. This is why the game allows you to conquer a c3 country and make it a slave in the first place. I agree with Asadel in that after you spend weeks or months building up a slave for yourself, why would anyone want to just give it away.

I believe James' point is that the game would be better with more player interaction. His suggestion essentially proposes a system of feudalism or colonialism. Using existing game features, players have created those scenarios before, and can do that now.

The overlord or emperor can provide military security for his underling while the vassal or colony provides various products or services to his superior. Those products or services can include some strategic materials or weapons, worker exchanges of certain types, defense support, military access, etc.

For example, when I was Laguna's overlord, he used to take over my bankrupt c3-sized slaves after I was done pillaging them. That gave me debt relief while he got the satisfaction of conquering my poorly defended wastelands. This arrangement was a way for that sucker to pay me tribute.

I would be someone's slave, the master protects me while I build healthy pop and make army corps that feeds his or her war effort. But as last, the others are right most will troll hard work... Not only that the game offers a option to pay out gc in the form of cash, thous people will flot around taking over high value slaves and selling them right form under you.
