Make inactive countries revert to 3C sooner

I just learned that it takes up to a full real life year for an inactive player country to become free again. I think this is too long, and also very inconvenient for me personally.

Some smart guys decided to register countries around mine, thus boxing me in and preventing me from expanding. They never returned to play, and their countries now sit like dead rocks around my country. :-(

Or at least remove their secured status after 30 days of inactivity.

Premium member countries stick around for longer as to give the player a chance to return.
Inactive free members are removed more quickly.

If someone has been using throwaway accounts to box you in this is against the rules. We do actively combat "multi account" players.

"Inactive free members are removed more quickly."

Thank you, this gives me new hope. I was about to quit because I'm surrounded by 3 inactive secured countries with my back to the sea. But now I'm going to hold out and wait until they turn into 3Cs again. :-)

I have a small suggestion for the GMs. When you form a unit and don't have everything/anything necessary to build it, you can order all needed products. Why don't you let a player specify the quality to buy? Would this be difficult to implement?

So, uh, not to seem like pain in the rear, but... How long, approximately, is "more quickly"? One month? Two? Will I have to check every day to see if those countries have become free again, or is there a fixed interval?

Expanding your empire is more than taking the country next to you. Creating bases some distance from your main can be very useful.

That may be, but it's not what I want to do. I don't want to project my feeble power and meddle in other player's affairs. I just want my isolationist local little empire.

*bump*
Does anyone know how many real life days it takes for an inactive country to become free again?

Personally I like the idea that if they haven't chosen an "I'm on vacation" option that they lose their war and level protection after 20-30 days or something because I'm boxed in by not three but FIVE of these guys and their stacks of money just keep going up and I'd rather take that than some lousy free country with just 600B.
