So, I was just chatting, or trying to, in Simcountry Chat and had another player point out the obvious problem of disconnects. They didn't spend more than a minute in chat and left. Like others, I spend more time chatting with other players using other chat services. Unfortunately, this leads more to the "empty" feeling of Simcountry instead of promoting more game community, as the chat should. Can something be done to add to the reliability of Simcountry chat?

Thank you

I think a lot of us have chosen different forms of chatting to be able to access it quicker. I seldom, if ever used the SC chat.

Chat needs a serious overhaul.

The reliability is that of a moth surviving the suns heat 1 meter away.

I rather enjoy being disconnected a random number of times every few minutes. It keeps life interesting, and definitely gives anyone's OCD something to focus upon. Besides, there is no conversation that cannot be improved by repeated disconnects.
And the lack of sound is such a wonderful idea. I'm truly amazed by it. Every other game in the world has sound for their chat. There must be a dozen totally free shareware chat programs with unlimited licensing available. So I'm very impressed that these people would reinvent the wheel for the umpteen millionth time. It makes this company seem so professional - like it's a project for college undergrads or vocational training students.
/sarcasm.

I was 1 of 4 people on a chat that lasted about 4 hours. I counted at least 45 disconnects. Very frustrating to say the least. I sincerely hope that this problem is being addressed. Thank you for your continued attention to this matter.

Bumping, since the problem still isn't solved. Also, for the love of god, give us notification noises for general chat.
