Long range surveilance units. New air unit.

This unit will have both defensive radar planes and offensive radar planes min of 3 each up to 6 each. It will include fighter planes and intercepters and defensive helicopters. 150 fighter planes and 300 intercepters and 300 helicopters.this unit is not meant to be effective for attacking but for gathering intel and to help in defense the defensive units will protect the radar planes . the offensive unit is use to strike enemy helicopters and military transport planes. By creating this unit we expand The defensive capability by being able to airlift the units to a position closer to the enemy for faster defensive action .

And this does exactly what for us that we don't have now, other than increased maint, fuel, ammo etc?

it moves the radar planes out of the bases and out on the field right now we have a up to 10000 mile range with this unit we can extend our radar range by airlifting it closer to the enemy or between you and your enemy allowing interception before the attack reachess your country.making the attack less effective against you. to explain lets say for your enemy is 12000 miles away your radar panes only 10000 miles
you cant not use radar planes to detect enemy positions so you can move the the LRSU closer to the enemy covering their entire country with your range once you airlifted the unit in you have both radar and anti air and anti ground support with a slight offensive ability. if your in a federation it will help your federation defenses in that region . of course you may need to use a rapid response team to create a airport before you can air lift.

Interception occurs before attack any way as defense gets the first shot in.

The number of weapons you can attack or be attacked with from even 10,000 miles is limited.

Since you'll have NMB's (right???) strategic bombers are a wash.

Conv Missile batts ... MIB's intercept the missiles now. Nothing is going to touch the actual launchers from <10-16K out anyway your only chance is having enough MIB's to stop the actual missile.

Stealth bomber (name says it all) are small units and effective against military only targets. I do have to play with this however a LGB in my mind is simply a gravity bomb and should bring the bomber in range of defense units and will be shot down (just at a lower rate than other units which is why the units are so small)
