As a new player I don't pretend to have all the answers, but there are some things that are clear. There is too much specialization of industries and products. Here are a few suggested changes. 1. Combine elementary/HS and universities to education facilities. 2. Combine oil, gas, gasoline, and coal to energy products(after all industries change their energy supplier all the time). 3. All metals(copper, iron, platinum, selenium, etc.) could be combined to mining. 4.Combine telephone, mobile television and cable TV to communications.5.Sports , shows and vacation could now be recreational category. 6. All maintenance categories, (NWM, AFM, military base maintenance, asset maintenance OWM,DWM)should be under one heading. 7.Milk, milk products, cheese, and butter go under dairy.8. Meat, meat products (Spam) fish and poultry under meat. I'm sure I missed categories, but 1/3 to 1/2 of the products could be combined or deleted entirely without any effect on the game. On the human side combine nurses, drs. senior drs. under medical and HTE, HTS and HTEx under high tech. LLM,MLM,and HLM go under management. A simple slider bar for theses categories would do much to make the game more enjoyable and not make so you don't have to worry about the proper ratios. The game isn't much fun if you have to micromanage every single aspect of your resource allocation. On the restriction side, there is no logical reason why any country can not build what they want if they have resources/personnel to make it. Build anything you want on any world. The space experiment seems to be a near total failure as seen by it's lack of use...just check to see how many loading docks are empty and stations have no product at all. On changing workers classification it's nonsensical to have to change your HT or medical workers to LLW when you have a ton of MLW and HLW sitting idle. Well, I've had my say (thanks for wading through this lengthy rant) but as it is now, this is more like a job that I visit twice a day than an enjoyable experience. The lack of war participation is probably influenced by having to buy unnecessary materials for your corp/country leaving little time/money for anything else. PS. Aren't robotics supposed to free up LLW and make you corp more efficient? Anybody see any evidence of that? Thank you.
